Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only one of Richard McCormick. Her parents were an aunt who worked as a housewife and a father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick was a talented entertainer and singer at an early age. She put on shows with puppets to entertain her friends. When McCormick was six years old, she won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency called and asked her whether she'd like to go into the show business. McCormick got her first big role when she got a part as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show The Wind It Up And It Breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of 1200 kids to be the oldest of the three twin daughters in the TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed and Robert Reed. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she nearly ended her relationship in the fifth season with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. She was just 16 when she was in the scene while he was. She said that it would be possible, however we didn't have the proper moment to make the decision.
